My Story

I have been a lifelong gamer and have long been fascinated by the unique ways video games can tell stories. I have also always wanted to understand how and why things work the way they do in the games I play, so when I was accepted as a beta tester for 10Tons’ Dysmantle, I was able to truly begin to hone my skills as a QA tester. My attention to detail from years of studying writing as well as my thorough approach to playing games has made me extremely efficient at finding bugs and expressing feedback from a player perspective in terms more familiar to developers.

Additionally, I am extremely passionate about accessibility in games, as I am disabled myself. I can offer expertise in this area to help advise developers on potential photosensitivity risks, creating better UI systems for the visually impaired and deaf/hard of hearing, improving controller gameplay for those who cannot use a keyboard and mouse, and so on. Everyone deserves to play games without strain or pain, and I am committed to making sure I help advocate for changes as needed so everyone can enjoy a game.

I am a self-directed learner who picks up new skills quickly. While you may not see a particular program listed under my skills, rest assured I can teach it to myself. Many of the programs I’m familiar with (Sony Vegas, Blender, Photoshop) were largely or entirely self-taught.
